Hey There!

We are excited about you potentially joining SLT and becoming a Student Leader. Being a Student Leader at First Students is a really big deal and just as important and needed as our Adult Leaders. Student Leaders help make this ministry actually function and be effective. As you go through this handbook be prayerful in this decision. Seek God and His wisdom. Is God calling you to be a leader and take on this responsibility? Are you ready to be used by God to help your peers grow in their faith? If so, get ready for a new chapter in your life, a chapter that will last for the rest of your life. Being an active servant leader of God will be quite the adventure! But we are blessed that God goes on this adventure with us and surrounds us with brothers and sisters in Christ who are all on the same journey as well. So, what are we waiting for?! Let's get started!

The Connection Team will lead our First Students as we bring in new guests and welcome them. They will gather information so they can stay connected.

❋ Connection Team

The Social Media Team will lead our First Students Instagram page as they keep our students connected and informed on all of our social media platforms. 

❋ Social Media Team

The Media Team will lead our students not from the stage, but from the back of the room. They will be running our slides and audio.

Worship Team will lead our First Students in Song and Praise during Midweek Services!

Together, we pause to consider our goals, hopes, and direction. This is about aligning with ourselves and with the journey ahead. This is a chance to reconnect with what brought you here—your questions, your hopes, your turning points—and consider how they’ve shifted or deepened.

How It Works

  • Browse our upcoming events to find the one that feels right for you. We host events year-round in all different locations and climates.

  • Sign up and pay all required fees to reserve your spot. If plans change, you can cancel up to 14 days before the retreat start to receive a 50% refund.

  • After booking, we'll send you a Welcome Packet with everything you need to know—detailed schedules, packing list recommendations, add-ons to consider, and more.

  • We'd recommend booking your transportation to and from the event as soon as possible, to ensure you can arrive without any complications or delays.

  • Now all that's left to do is pack your bags and get excited for your new adventure.
